Workshop explores assembly cleaning, coating & reliability
At the Assembly Cleaning, Coating and Reliability Workshop, September 16th in Arizona, USA, Aqueous Technologies has revealed that Mike Konrad and John Hall will be presenting.
In recent years, cleaning, or defluxing, has become more necessary and more challenging in the electronic assembly industry. The amount of assembly residue tolerable is less than it has ever been, while electro-chemical migration and electrical leakage creates quantifiable reliability issues and associated liability concerns.
Mike Konrad, SMT Advisory Board member and President, Aqueous Technologies, and John Hall, National Sales Manager, Aqueous Technologies, will explore the history of electronics cleaning. Discussing no-clean flux's impact on assembly reliability electrochemical migration, the pair will look at three common failure mechanisms: dendritic growth, parasitic leakage and conductive anodic filament.
