From strange to familiar; from unquantifiable to impressive, EMA (Electronics Manufacturing Automation) technology, centered on 'intelligent manufacturing', is increasingly promoting renovation and transformation of domestic industrial manufacturing. It is set to lead transformation trends throughout the electronics manufacturing industry for the foreseeable future.

NEPCON South China 2015, to be held at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre from 25th to the 27th August, will convene numerous top electronics manufacturing automation suppliers.

The event will also examine topical industry issues, with more end users and high-quality trade visitors set to be onsite than ever before. As one of the largest, longest running events on the South China electronics manufacturing scene, NEPCON South China will this year host nearly 450 international leading brand suppliers from 22 countries and regions. 33,000+ industry elites and VIP buyers will network and conduct trade across a 37,500m2 exhibition space.

The exhibition will be collocated with CS Show 2015. The combined synergies of the shows will boost their profiles. The NEPCON EMA Pavilion is one of the most enduring features of the show, as well as the most influential. It is a testament to the improvement and transformation of the local electronics manufacturing automation industry and is sure to be the preferred business expansion platform of numerous suppliers, as technologies and equipment within the industry grow in volume.

In recent years, Germany's Industry 4.0 has come to the fore, activating a race to upgrade among all major players in the global electronics manufacturing. The Chinese market is playing a critical role in this renovation revolution. Over 30+ years of reform and opening up, the Chinese electronics industry has developed at breakneck speed to become the most dominant electronics manufacturing hub in the world, with its market share increasing year on year.

However, poor technological competitiveness, low hi-tech content and low levels of product automation are hampering the industry. The development of traditional electronics manufacturing is influenced by the gradual expansion of the global electronics industry to emerging markets, as well as the continual rise of process and labor costs related to electronics product manufacturing.

Fortunately, key sources in the local industry long ago anticipated this phenomenon and devised the 'China Smart Factory 1.0' strategy. This concept has the same origins as Germany's 'Industry 4.0', encouraging companies to launch new products and technologies in a variety of ways i.e. through research, development and the purchase of new automation equipment to replace manual labor and challenge the extremity of processes.

As a vital driver of industry development, NEPCON South China 2015 will primarily feature intelligent automation technologies (industrial robots and system integration). Electronics manufacturing automation technology has become a major tool for Chinese companies to improve all-round competitiveness. It will reflect development trends in the electronics industry in the near future.

The EMS Pavilion will attract the most attention of all the pavilions, thanks to its advanced product concepts, high-end product designs and innovative system solutions. The Pavilion will convene exhibitors from across electronics manufacturing automation and include industrial robots, motion control equipment, electronics manufacturing automation equipment, accessories, pneumatic components, system integration, machine vision, sensors, conveyor equipment and more.

So far, confirmed exhibitors include ABB, KUKA, STÄUBLI, HIWIN, TOYO, Sumida Automation and Shunru Electronics in the industrial robot field; SCHNEEBERGER, HIWIN, Leadshine, Angtai, TOYO, StarChain, Heidenhain and iNAS in motion control; FESTO, AirTAC and CHELIC for product display of pneumatic components; Intelligent Automation, Robo-technik, EMT, B&P Automation Dynamics and other system integration companies; and Baumer, EVERBR, OptiRom and more, for machine vision & sensors.

Because the highest profile local and international brands will take part, NEPCON South China 2015 will attract industry elites and VIP buyers coming to view globally leading industrial electronics manufacturing automation technologies and product solutions in person. They will also come to capitalise on the growing development opportunities that automation brings to the electronics manufacturing industry.

The exhibition is an optimal communication platform for industry professionals to learn about new products and technologies. It caters to industry trends and is a stage for a number of well-known electronics manufacturing automation exhibitors. During the exhibition, companies rich in experience and research know-how will comprehensively display their proudest automation technology products. Visitors will see, first hand, world-leading cutting-edge industrial electronics manufacturing automation technologies and products. They will also witness the growing development opportunities in electronics manufacturing, thanks to automation.

The exhibition will be held in the format of a 'Smart Factory', combining digital and intelligent technologies and using information flow throughout the industry. NEPCON South China 2015 will also feature the comprehensive analysis of electronics manufacturing automation, strengthening the driving force for industry-wide upgrade and transformation. Looking ahead, as industry continues to innovate, how to seize opportunities and find the right partners, in an era of industry convergence, is a long-term theme for all system R&D and manufacturing companies in the industrial automation field to consider.
