Digital engagement and process automation specialist Parker Software will be exhibiting at The Future of Government ICT summit and exhibition on January 29th, 2016 from 9-4pm from stand 22 at the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester.

Hosted by the University of Salford, the event aims to highlight the need for digital transformation of Government services in light of the increasing pressure to reduce public expenditure, save civil servants' time and improve the Government's green credentials.

Targeting business leaders, IT and technology officers, as well as security and operations personnel, the event will be home to seminars, presentations, and networking sessions throughout the day. The event will discuss the current state of the Government's wide-ranging ICT agenda and the challenges and barriers the Government faces to save time, money and improve the environment through ICT.

Parker Software will be speaking at the event during session two, in seminar B, at 2:50pm. Howard Williams, Marketing director and Tom Pepper, Web/UX designer, will deliver a question and answer session on how public sector organisations can transform their digital communications.

"We know that councils and local authorities throughout the country are under a tremendous amount of pressure to cut costs and deliver national projects on time," explained Howard Williams. "The Government Digital Service (GDS) was setup in 2011 to overcome this problem, with its primary function being to make public sector services digital by default. This will make systems, faster, cheaper and easier to use.

"To make sure that the public sector can achieve this digital transformation and maximise its resources, we've developed a suite of software products for both internal and external services. We've built everything from live chat and helpdesk tools to more sophisticated automation tools to process customer data.

"Even automating something simple like the data collected through self-service kiosks means that high numbers of customer enquiries can be processed quickly. This frees up civil servants from paperwork and means they can better help customers face to face," concluded Williams.

Anyone looking to find out more can meet with Parker Software on stand 22 at the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester on January 29th between 9-4pm.
