Space Tech Expo expands to Europe
Now established as a leading event on the global space calendar, the continued success of Space Tech Expo, which enjoyed a further 45% rise in attendance along with a 25% increase in exhibitor numbers earlier this year, has prompted the Californian-based event to now expand into Bremen, one of Europe’s leading aerospace hubs. More than 180 exhibitors are already signed up, among them industry, research and testing majors such as OHB, DLR, Thales Alenia Space, Tesat-Spacecom, W. L. Gore, Zodiac Data Systems, SEA, Olympus, Curtiss-Wright, European Test Services and Fraunhofer Space.
The exhibition is free to attend, with the majority of its key features remaining complimentary. One such service is the B2B Matchmaking Service, organised in co-operation with Enterprise Europe Network Bremen. A dedicated website profiles all participants that register for the service, alongside their partnership intentions. Requests for bilateral face-to-face meetings can be both received and given; this gives attendees the chance to create structured networking opportunities ahead of the event, in addition to the networking lunches and receptions held on the show floor.
Conveniently co-located alongside Space Tech Expo Europe, the Aerospace Electrical Systems Expo is a key business destination throughout the entire electrical system supply chain. Manufacturers, distributors, contractors, suppliers, engineers and technical leaders have a vital opportunity to connect at a time when industry interest in on-board electrical power is at an all-time high. As well as new business opportunities, with networking and social activities built into the programme, the show will feature the components and capabilities that bring aircraft and space vehicles to life, including battery and power systems manufacturing, power distribution and conversion, wire cable and harnesses, electronics, box building, control assemblies, software, data acquisition and testing.
In addition to the exhibit area, a dedicated space is designated for testing technologies, equipment, processes and research. The Aerospace Testing Zone will see testing capabilities for airframes, subsystems, components and electrical power systems for the aerospace and space sectors, presented by a wide range of international companies and organisations.
An outstanding feature of the show are the free-to-attend forums, running alongside the programme for the full three-day duration: two concurrent forums will provide insights from key contributors such as NASA, DLR, ESA, ULA, OHB, Thales, Airbus and many others. Issues include:
- Competition
- Access and affordability in the launch services market
- ESA technology roadmaps and opportunities for the supply chain
- Technology transfer
- Reusability and affordability
- The latest testing methodologies
- R&D approaches
- Development best practices
Aerospace Electrical Systems Expo will take place at MESSE BREMEN, Halle 5 in Bremen from 17th to 19th November.
