IFS2018 - Future Horizons' SC Industry Outlook & Forecast takes place on January 16 at the Holiday Inn, Kensington Forum in London. The presentation runs from 10.15 and finishes at 16.00 with a break for lunch. The forecast, presented by veteran semiconductor market watcher Malcolm Penn, CEO of Future Horizons, gives a close look at the prospects for the semiconductor industry in 2018, encompassing the technology and applications trends that will impact on semiconductor sales.

At last year’s IFS, Penn correctly forecast the 2017 capacity shortages and start of the so-called industry super-cycle, at a time when all other analysts were predicting low single-digit growth.

He was also the first to predict the market would exceed US$400bn and the first to predict 20% plus growth.

Entering 2018, we find ourselves again out on a limb with our belief the current recovery has nowhere near run out of steam whereas all others are predicting low 2018 growth. Yet barring a nuclear war or financial industry meltdown, continuing strong revenue growth is all but inevitable. Now in its 29th year, Future Horizons' twice-yearly forecast events are a vital link to provide industry with high quality, cost effective, market research together with the analyses and reasons why.

Whether a seasoned veteran or industry newcomer this event is invaluable to executives from the semiconductor, electronics and related industries.

Delegates will receive copies of all the material presented in both binder and electronic format. To register call (+44 1732 740440).
