Samsung President to keynote at CES 2016
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has announced that Dr. WP Hong, President and CMO, Samsung Electronics, will deliver a keynote address at CES 2016. The keynote is scheduled for the 7th of January, in the Venetian's Palazzo Ballroom. Owned and produced by CEA, CES is the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, and will run 6th-9th January, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At the CES 2016, Dr. Hong plans to provide a look into Samsung's progress in turning the vision of the IoT into reality, focusing on tangible solutions and products in areas most closely related to our everyday lives, with specific emphases on Samsung's IoT data security and customer-centric mobile payment solutions.

Before assuming his current position, Dr. Hong contributed to establishing Samsung's GALAXY franchise as a synonym for its popular and advanced Android products. As the head of global product strategy, Dr. Hong oversaw Samsung's transformation from a mass market volume player to a leader in sophisticated mobile products. In addition to his work on the Android brand, he was a driving force behind Samsung's innovations in IoT, multi-screen consumer experiences, cloud storage, music, video, e-book and game services.
Prior to joining Samsung, he accumulated experience in the mobile industry both as a researcher and business person on the forefront of mobile technology innovations, both in the U.S. and Korea. He holds a master's degree and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. Dr. Hong joins Brian Krzanich,CEO, Intel on the CES 2016 keynote stage. Additional keynotes will be announced in the coming weeks.
