Samsung C&T automation to exhibit at IPC APEX Expo

SAMSUNG C&T Automation will exhibit in booth #3400 at the upcoming IPC APEX Expo, scheduled to take place February 14-16th in San Diego, CA. SAMSUNG C&T Automation was acquired by Hanwha Techwin effective January 1st, 2017.

Under the name Hanwha Techwin, they will now offer factory direct supply, service and support, with more staff, more expertise, and more dedication.

Hanwha Techwin plans to open a Center of Excellence (COE) in spring 2017 that will allow expansion into a state-of-the-art 16,000ft2 facility in Cypress, Calif. The COE will showcase four fully operational SMT lines featuring high value (SM), high efficiency (DECAN), high performance (DECAN+SM), and 1.5m LED big board solutions. The COE will also showcase machine/line/factory management software, which will be networked to all machine lines to emulate a factory production environment for testing, validation, training, and demonstrations. Extensive training and applications engineering/development capabilities will be key to the success and growth of the Center of Excellence.

On display at IPC APEX will be the SM485 multi-functional platform with progressive build and electrical test verification capabilities for best in class versatility in prototyping, NPI, and volume production environments. SM Plus series offers the highest value placement technology configurations with dual gantry/dual conveyor chip mounters, high performance flexible mounters, advanced flexible mounters, and multi-functional mounters.

The DECAN S2 boasts single and dual lane conveyor modularity for high efficiency production, and dual-gantry chip, flex, and multifunction mounters.

Finally, come see Hanwha’s LED Big Board Solutions with 1.2 and 1.5m PCB capability. Single and dual lane assembly line solutions are available complete with printing, placement, reflow and board handling equipment.
