Rohde & Schwarz to showcase IoT, embedded tech at Hardware Pioneers Max 2025
In today’s increasingly interconnected world, it is crucial to ensure that electronic devices operate reliably in crowded electromagnetic environments. Embedded systems are fundamental to electronic devices and require thorough testing for optimal performance and reliability.
Visitors to Hardware Pioneers can see the Rohde & Schwarz testing solutions available to address challenges including energy efficiency, electromagnetic interference, and connectivity.
Rohde & Schwarz will be using its debut attendance at Hardware Pioneers to demonstrate innovative solutions designed to enhance the testing capabilities available to assist with designing cutting-edge electronics, IoT connectivity, and embedded systems. With 150 global exhibitors and over 5,000 engineers from more than 30 countries visiting, Hardware Pioneers is the UK’s largest exhibition and conference, and Europe’s fastest-growing electronics expo where innovators gather to shape the industry’s future. Solutions on stand B6 will include the most advanced EMI test receivers, signal and spectrum analysers, EMC testing software and oscilloscopes.
Rohde & Schwarz will showcase its family of test receivers designed for use by EMC test engineers and R&D engineers. The R&S EPL1000 EMI test receiver is designed for conducting EMI measurements up to 30MHz with an optional DC input and battery pack. Features include preselection filters, fast time domain scan, and a tracking generator, making it ideal for full-compliance and certification testing.
As well as enabling rapid measurement of entire CISPR bands A or B in a single shot, the R&S EPL1000 offers such EMI analysis functions as four-channel click rate analysis, real-time spectrogram, and IF analysis. Built-in automation helps to simplify the measurement process and ensure reproducibility of test sequences. Specialists can discuss the main features of the two latest EMC receivers in the range, the EPL1001 (delivering up to 1GHz) and the EPL1007 (up to 7.125GHz). The flexible option concept, including CISPR16-1-1 compliance, makes them ideal for both pre-compliance and compliance applications such as measurements during development, for preparing certification and for final testing to confirm compliance with the latest EMI standards.
Ensuring energy efficiency and reliability in power electronics
The eight-channel MXO 5 oscilloscope paired with its R&S RT-ZISO isolated probing system will also be on the stand. This combination delivers superior levels of accuracy, sensitivity, dynamic range and bandwidth, and is particularly suited to next-generation wide-bandgap (WBG) power designs.
Ideal for high-speed electronics testing, RF analysis and complex debugging tasks, the MXO 5 oscilloscope has four-channel and eight-channel models with bandwidths ranging from 100MHz to 2GHz. Features include ultra-fast waveform capture (over 4.5m waveforms a second),18-bit vertical resolution, deep memory (500Mpoints per channel), zone triggering on analogue, spectrum and math functions, and a 15.6” HD display.
Particularly useful for high-side gate measurements in such WBG devices as SiC and GaN power electronics, the RT-ZISO is designed for high-voltage and fast-switching environments, offering optical isolation to achieve superior common mode rejection ratio (CMRR). Key features include CMRR of >90dB at 1GHz, bandwidth options of 100MHz to 1GHz, and ±3,000V differential input range with ±60kV common mode range.
Also showcased on the Rohde & Schwarz stand will be streamline EMC testing with the R&S ELEKTRA test software, designed to boost efficiency and reliability by automating emissions and immunity measurements. The R&S FPL1000 signal and spectrum analyser for pre-compliance testing with an optional battery pack provides up to three hours of remote operation, making it equally suited to RF labs, production environments, and field applications. The rugged, portable R&S Scope Rider RTH1004 hand-held oscilloscope combines lab-grade performance with field-ready convenience.
Rohde & Schwarz experts will be available throughout Hardware Pioneers to demonstrate the products and share knowledge.
