Redesigned SPI & AOI portfolio features improved precision & accuracy

The X7056FPD in-line 3D AXI/ 3D AOI combo system has been completely redesigned, resulting in a 300% improvement in X-ray image quality. Digital flat panel detectors and X/Y stages allow highly accurate planar CT for 3D analysis of hidden fine-pitch solder joints such as µBGA, QFNs and stacked packages (PoP). The optional simultaneous AOI inspection now uses the 3D XM camera module with up to 8 angular views and fast shadow-free 3D inspection.

With the X8068 universal X-ray inspection system, the entire spectrum of inspection objects up to 722mm can be reliably inspected. The open X-ray tube ensures the highest resolution and detail recognition in first-class image quality. Thus, even the smallest defective structures are reliably detected. A sealed direct beam tube is available as a system option.

The existing S3088 ultra with 3D XM camera platform, with freshly designed mechanics and the addition of the 3D XM module, combines the company's fastest inspection speed and best defect detection capability.

Enhancements to maintenance and service features allow for reliable and economical machine operation. The addition of 3D AOI inspection to the S3088 ultra presents a flexible inspection system for a variety of AOI tasks. 

Viscom will introduce TrueYield, its unique approach to maximise yields with best defect detection and lowest false alarms, at IPC APEX. The automatic machine health check tool, combining integrated verification to check programs with verified known defects, known good sample data, process uplink with process data analysis from several test gates and TCM, aims to provide superior true yield improvement capabilities.

The Viscom S3088 Conformal Coating Inspection (CCI) system inspects coatings quickly and reliably for typical defects such as cracks, bad spots, layers that are too thin or too thick, smearing, impurities or splashes. The Viscom S3088 CCI system features an 8M camera module equipped with UV LEDs that reveal visible light emitted by UV fluorescent indicators contained in the transparent protective coating. The S3088 CCI system is available immediately.
