PXI, PCI products readied for Nuremberg outing
PXI, PCI and Ethernet LXI products and software solutions for the centerpiece of Pickering Interfaces exhibit at SMT Hybrid Packaging 2017 (May 16-18) in Nuremburg. A 2-slot USB/LXI Modular Chassis offers a small lightweight form factor, making it ideal for portable, benchtop and space restrictive applications. It supports one or two of Pickering’s 3U PXI modules.
The USB compatible and LXI compliant interfaces enable the chassis to be controlled directly through standard interfaces found on most personal computers—allowing for a very cost effective route into the modular test and measurement market.
A Millivolt Thermocouple PXI Simulator Moduleisideal for simulating the operation of a thermocouple.
This module supports up to 32 channels from a single-slot 3U PXI module, each with an independent output of -100mV to +100mV and a remote sense that allows for the correction of ground voltages on each channel.
Also on show is a LXI Modular Chassis with plugins which use a large PCB size that make it particularly suitable for implementing large switching system with minimal interconnection costs compared to smaller modular standards such as PXI.
Example plugins will be on show for implementing large matrix products. Users can fit as many or as few plug-in modules (up to six) required and can field upgrade the chassis to extend the switching system when necessary.
The 65-200 chassis supports very high relay closure counts to permit high-speed continuity and insulation testing. Pickering Interfaces is able to design other plugin modules for the 65-200 to address a variety of large switching system applications.
Switch Path Manager Signal Routing Software simplifies signal routing through switching systems and speeds up the development of switching system software. Switch Path Manager supports Pickering's PXI, LXI, PCI and GPIB switching modules and the interconnection between these products.
Also highlighted in the booth will be eBIRST Switching System Test Tools. These tools, designed specifically for Pickering’s PXI, PCI, or LXI (Ethernet) products, simplify switching system faultfinding by quickly testing the system and graphically identifying the faulty relays.
