Analog Devices (ADI) will share exciting advancements at PCIM 2017. ADI invites you to a personal discussion at their demonstration area and to meet with their experts who can share key product insights and answer your specific design questions. The visitors will find the ADI booth from 16–18 May in Hall 6, Booth 6-458.

ADI demonstrations at PCIM will include:

Absolute Encoder Interfaces in Motor Drives

ADI will demonstrate solutions for EnDat and BiSS serial interfaces between a motor drive and absolute encoders for robotics and servo applications. ADI will also be showing how the higher speed of the new ADM3065E transceiver enables the use of longer encoder cables and provides ±15kV ESD protection.

Driving and Controlling SiC/GaN Converters’ Power Density – For Renewables and Industrial Power Applications

Next-generation fast DC chargers (up to 500kW) will use storage batteries to speed up the EV charging process and to balance the grid. The multi-stage power conversion and multi-level mixed topologies will require innovative processors with integrated hardware accelerators. In addition, isolated gate drivers must drive new ultra-fast silicon MOSFETs, high voltage SiC MOSFETs and ultra-fast ultra-compact GaN MOSFETs. ADSP-CM41xF processors and ADI ADuM413xisolated gate drivers from Analog Devices are engineered to take on the challenges of next-generation EV chargers.

Ethernet/IP over TSN

ADI will show how standard Ethernet/IP (Rockwell Industrial Ethernet Protocol) can be turned into TSN streams using ADI’s TSN Eval Kits. The demo will use a mix of best-effort traffic (Video stream) and deterministic TSN streams on one wire to demonstrate TSN’s compatibility with standard Ethernet.

Breaking through the isolation barrier with the ADP107x family of power controllers

This demo features the ADP107x family of parts. The demo shows a live board highlighting features like high integration and tracking with a no-optocoupler solution that increases reliability and reduces BOM cost.

Highlights at the show also include a series of presentations by Analog Devices experts during the official conference and expert programme:

Connected Motion:  ADI Deterministic Ethernet Solutions – Bill Broome , IC Design Manager, Exhibitor Forum hall 7, booth 507, Thursday, May 18th 10:20-10:40.

Investigation of iCoupler immunity against external high frequency and density magnetic field – Bernhard Strzalkowski, Senior Power System Application Engineer, Postersession, Foyer Entrance NCC Mitte, Wednesday, May 17th , 15:30-17.30

Analog Devices executives will be available at PCIM for press briefings. Journalists, who will not be able to attend PCIM, will also have the opportunity to arrange telephone interviews
