Portfolio shown at embedded world includes FPGA, GaN & SiC discretes, PoE & reverse power feed

Microsemi has announced that it will demonstrate its ‘Securing the IoT’ solutions, along with FPGAs, GaN and SiC discretes, PoE, midspan, reverse power feed products and more at embedded world 2015. The company will showcase its portfolio of expertise and technology from 24th to 26th February, at Nuremberg's Exhibition Centre, in Hall 4, Stand 140.

Embedded World 2015 is a must for everyone concerned with the development, purchasing, procurement and application of embedded technologies in the areas of hardware, software, tools and services. Microsemi’s involvement at the event includes ‘Standing-up a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for Secure M2M Communications between Embedded Systems,’ where Tim Morin, Director of Strategic Marketing, Microsemi, will share his expertise. The presentation will take place on 24th February from 1.45pm-2.30pm CET, during Class 04.

Also featured will be a selection of live demonstrations. In the first of these, Microsemi will explain how to securely boot an external processor running embedded Linux. Microsemi experts will explain how SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs and IGLOO2 FPGAs are truly unique in that they have built-in security capabilities that can be used to provide a root of trust to an external processor.

Other live demos planned include M2M authentication, where the company will be joined by Escrypt to showcase an embedded PKI for M2M authentication, and Motor Control, where the LX3300 family of MCU-based sensor interface ICs for automotive and industrial applications will be displayed.

Microsemi's PoE, IC, midspan and reverse power feed portfolios will also be on display, with products including the PD70224ILQ MOSFET-based full-bridge rectifier which uses low-RDS 0.16Ω N-channel MOSFETs, the recently released PDS-102GO, an outdoor PoE switch enabling the connection of two powered devices to the network, and the PD81001ILQ, a one line PSE IC located in the CPE, capable of reverse powering a remote VDSL2/G.hn/G.fast DPU when matched with a PDIC.
