Plant tour features smart manufacturing system
At this year’s productronica exhibition in Munich (November 12-15), Critical Manufacturing will be showing its Industry 4.0 (I4.0) Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Visitors will be able to view demonstrations at the exhibition stand, and have the opportunity to tour the nearby ASM factory to see the benefits of this MES in action.
On each day from 12-14 November, Critical Manufacturing will be hosting an exclusive two-hour ‘MES Plant Tour’ program which will include a guided tour of the assembly operations of sophisticated placement equipment and the highly automated Printed Circuit Board production on ASM’s own SMT lines in their award winning smart factory. As well as seeing the future-ready MES in action at the plant, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the system with ASM Factory Executives and MES experts.
Chris Parsons, VP Marketing at Critical Manufacturing, said: “There is no better way of understanding the benefits of Industry 4.0 and how our MES builds a pathway to smart manufacturing than by seeing the system live in production. The electronics industry is fast-paced and needs a system that offers the flexibility and scalability to deliver today and into the future. The MES is modular and designed from the ground-up for the smart factory, but it also integrates legacy systems and equipment so that businesses can upgrade at a pace that suits their business goals.”
Critical Manufacturing’s modern MES offers a complete manufacturing digital twin of shop floor operations and the unique capability to implement unlimited possibilities for Augmented Reality, scenarios using data from across the MES.
It can integrate both legacy and smart IoT devices and comes with a rich selection of native modules for Advanced Scheduling, Experiments management, Equipment Integration and Automation and many more, in a single system.
It is designed to help complex discrete manufacturers to significantly increase manufacturing efficiency, productivity and quality.
Parsons continued: “It is not just the MES’s advanced capabilities we want customers to see, but its flexibility, ease of use and the unparalleled level of visibility to complete shop floor operations, which means faster decision making. Any issues that arise can be resolved quickly and deep insight into processes enables continuous improvement. In combination, this means the system is constantly working to both improve efficiency and enhance final product quality.”
Critical Manufacturing MES experts will be on hand throughout productronica at the ASM booth located in Hall A3, Stand 377, to discuss how businesses of all sizes can benefit from the I4.0 manufacturing revolution with augmented MES at its backbone.
