From now on, experts in business and academia can submit their abstracts on various power electronics topics for a chance to speak at the PCIM Conference 2025.

This call for papers remains open until 15 October 2024.

The PCIM Conference offers first-time authors a unique opportunity to present their work to an international audience of over 900 representatives from both the business and scientific sides of power electronics. Accepted papers will be published in the PCIM Conference proceedings and prestigious databases such as IEEE Xplore, IET Inspec Direct, Knovel, and Scopus.

Presenters at the PCIM Conference will benefit from immediate feedback from industry and academia, while also establishing valuable contacts within the power electronics community.

“The PCIM Expo & Conference is a great place where academia and industry meet,” said Adriana Campos, a power electronics engineer in R&D at the SuperGrid Institute who presented at the 2024 PCIM Conference. “As a speaker, you can share your results with the community to get feedback for further research. It’s also an outstanding opportunity to make new contacts and meet potential partners.”

A variety of presentation formats are available at the PCIM Conference: 20-minute talks on the conference stages at NCC Mitte, poster presentations allowing direct interaction with attendees, and half-day seminars for in-depth exploration of specialised topics in small groups. The half-day seminars will take place on the two days leading up to the PCIM Expo & Conference.

The PCIM Conference Advisory Board, chaired by Prof. Leo Lorenz, will evaluate all submitted abstracts based on their relevance, quality, information value, and other criteria.

Outstanding submissions will be recognised in five categories through the Best Paper Award, the Young Engineer Award, and the Young Researcher Award. In addition to gaining recognition, winners will be announced through various channels and will each receive a €1,000 prize.

International students interested in attending can benefit from a €500 travel subsidy. Applicants should be full-time students in power electronics and willing to make an in-person presentation in Nuremberg.

The PCIM Expo & Conference, an event in the power electronics community, uniquely combines a scientific convention with a practically oriented trade fair. In 2024, the event saw participation from 637 exhibiting companies, 18,102 visitors, and 952 conference participants from both science and industry.
