PCIM 2016: Motor control in Nuremberg spotlight
A comprehensive power product portfolio and concentrated power know-how are the attractions on Rutronik’s stand at PCIM in Nuremberg (May 10-12). Rutronik Power boasts a comprehensive portfolio of power components for different performance categories and areas of application. It combines active, passive and electromechanical components.
At PCIM, the focus will be on three topics:
- Everything to do with power supply – from wall-mounted and desktop adapters via open-frame network devices to ATX switching power supplies. A demo will illustrate synchronous rectification in flyback topologies.
- Motor control – with integrated, scalable solutions for motor control units and controls, a demo set-up will show the control of a water pump based on a BLDC motor.
- Wireless charging solutions –various transmitter and receiver ICs are supplemented by specific complementary components such as MOSFETs, Zener diodes, charge coils, capacitors, LEDs and resistors. .
A presentation titled “Hybrid energy storage system from battery and double layer capacitors (EDLC)”,by Andreas Mangler (Director Strategic Marketing & Communications at Rutronik, Professor Lutz Zacharias and Ringo Lehmann (both from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences, Zwickau) will examine system analysis, switching topologies and their practical implementation in a digitally controlled system for the low-voltage range. The presentation will take place in the expert forum in Hall 6 on Tuesday, 10 May 2016 from 1 to 1.45 p.m.
