Panoramic thermal sensor to showcase at SHIELD AFRICA
To start the year off, the panoramic thermal sensor SPYNEL makes a first appearance in Abidjan at SHIELD AFRICA, the international Security and Defence exhibition on the African continent. For three days, HGH Infrared Systems will be showcasing their latest thermal surveillance developments, with the aim of reinforcing security to support economic growth in Africa.
African countries are booming and must acquire the necessary means to their growth, in a secure and peaceful way. Their development must be accompanied by the latest technologies providing security against asymmetric threats on land, at sea, or in the air, in the most extreme conditions.
HGH Infrared Systems’ SPYNEL range counts five panoramic thermal imager models to answer recurrent security and defence needs on the African continent: critical infrastructure protection, self protection of ships, border security, FOB protection, human intrusion detection or drone flyover tracking.
All SPYNEL security sensors are operated by CYCLOPE, an advanced image processing software analysing in real time the panoramic images day and night. Just like SPYNEL, CYCLOPE never stops evolving and innovations like the Alarm Management Module, the automatic classification of threats, and the Automatic Tracking in Staring mode will be showcased at SHIELD AFRICA.
The 360° thermal sensors SPYNEL-C and SPYNEL-M, showcased booth A443 are used for FOB protection and by special forces around the world. SPYNEL-C is one of HGH’s key security products, and has proven its worth in various defence applications. SPYNEL-M is the most compact 360° thermal imager, often carried in a backpack to be deployed in remote places, or ensuring the security of a VIP procession.
Charlotte Pantel, Sales Representative of SPYNEL in Europe, said: "On the African continent, an increase in organised crime and trafficking undermines the institutions and stability of several nations. We believe that innovative security technologies like SPYNEL are essential to fight terrorism, organised crimes and piracy and thus support a long term and peaceful growth."
Meet HGH Infrared Systems and their SPYNEL Security Thermal Imager booth A443 at SHIELD AFRICA, from 22nd to 24th January.
