Panduit to debut enterprise to edge Industry 4.0 solutions
Panduit has announced that it will exhibit for the first time at Cisco Live - Messe Berlin, 15-19th February, 2016. Panduit is also the Official Cable Sponsor for the event.
“The rapid uptake of Industry 4.0 (Smart Factory) practices is merging of two worlds – control engineering and IT. New technologies are enabling manufacturers to manage their infrastructure, deploy devices, and share information in new ways, therefore it is vital to be in discussion with IT managers and machine installers. Cisco Live gives Panduit the opportunity to discuss our proven end-to-end network physical layer infrastructure solutions - building blocks, tools, and design services from the enterprise to the edge – with senior IT professionals from a diverse range of manufacturing companies,” explains Hayo Volker Hasenfus, Director, Industrial Automation EMEA, Panduit.
At Cisco Live, Booth G12, Panduit will debut two important technologies for the industrial automation infrastructure sector:
- Pre-Configured Industrial Distribution Frame (IDF)
Specifically engineered to deploy and protect rack mountEthernet switches in industrial applications, Panduit’s pre-configured IDF features an innovative design that ensuresconsistent equipment deployment and speeds installation – up to 25% faster than non-preconfigured options. Units also significantly reduce the risk ofdowntime due to switch overheating.
- IntraVUE industrial network visualisation and analytics software
IntraVUE software addresses the challenges unique to industrial environments, providing visibility into all levels of devices and connectivity, and enabling operational field technicians to efficiently communicate with IT resources. IntraVUE software also helps to speed both documentation and deployment, with advanced analytics to optimise ongoing performance. The latest release allows users to establish custom Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that provide managers with real-time visibility into critical plant network infrastructure, improving uptime and performance.
