MotionTech TechZone comes to 2014 International CES
The Consumer Electronics Association today announced MotionTech, the newest TechZone at the 2014 International CES. Owned and produced by CEA, the 2014 CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, scheduled to run January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sponsored by MEMS Industry Group, MotionTech will showcase leading innovation in the motion technology field, including MEMS, the smallest motion-sensing devices. From gesture recognition and augmented reality, to eye-tracking technology and motion sensors, attendees will discover new ways to connect and interact with their devices.
Karen Chupka, senior vice president, International CES and corporate business strategy, comments: “Sensor technologies are changing the way we use our tech devices and empowering us to use motion technology tools in new, more personalized ways for gaming, health and fitness monitoring, security systems and more. The response to CES’ MotionTech has been exciting and is proof that motion technologies have advanced past their industrial uses and are growing to create new capabilities in the consumer sector.”
Major sensor and gesture recognition exhibitors at the 2014 CES include: Hillcrest Laboratories, MEMS Industry Group, Movea, PointGrab, PrimeSense, SoftKinetic and Tobii Technology. The MotionTech TechZone will span 3,000 net square feet of exhibit space in the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center LVCC, South Hall 2, creating synergy with the gaming, health and lifestyle areas on the show floor.
