Molex helps future-proof your investment at Agritechnica
As commercial vehicles become connected vehicles, how do you integrate the latest technology while protecting against some of the toughest conditions on earth? Invest in technology that pairs next-generation innovation with proven reliability. These are just some of the questions Molex will look to answer at this year’s Agritechnica show, Hall 17 – Booth 32, 12th-18th November 2017.
At the show, Molex will be offering engineers of commercial vehicles a broad range of innovative and proven electronics solutions, ranging from standard sealed connector systems to high speed in-vehicle digital communication products.
Some examples, viewable at Agritechnica, of Molex solutions include its µPDB Custom Sealed Modules which are ideal for customers looking to add or relocate power switching and circuit protection in vehicles.
The fully sealed and connectorised system enables mounting in multiple locations within the vehicle, including high-vibration and harsh environments, making them applicable for use in agricultural vehicles.
The HSAutoLink interconnect system leverages Molex’s expertise at producing high-speed cable technology and adapting to needs of connected vehicles providing flexibility for combined links or support for multiple protocols in the same connector, including USB 2.0, USB 3.0, LVDS, Ethernet AVB (Audio Visual Bridging), and modified HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort. And Molex’s portfolio of standard media and smart charging modules provide convenience to use media and charge devices in the cab.
Molex will also be exhibiting solutions for vehicle electrification connectivity such as the ruggedised Imperium High-Voltage/High-Current (HVHC) Connector System, a high voltage and amperage solution that delivers reliable performance even in the most extreme shock and vibration conditions found in today’s commercial vehicles.
Ideal for hybrid-electric and all otherelectric technologies, the connectors are capable of handling up to 1000V and 250.0A per contact and provide vehicle OEMs and electrification system architects with superior shielding performance and current density.
“Commercial vehicle OEMs can gain competitive advantages tapping into high performance and reliable electronic content and customisation. As a major supplier to global commercial transportation markets, Molex offers a wide range of products and extensive research and development capabilities that include rapid prototyping and high-volume production support by applying proven expertise and breakthrough technologies from other markets and industries to in-cab and vehicle electronics,” explains Ian Vanner, European Sales Manager Commercial Vehicles at Molex.
Another solution on show will be the ML-XT Sealed Connection System, a highly reliable, securely sealed solution that is rated IP68, IP69K and J2030 power-wash capable. The ML-XT system features a one-piece plug housing and seal design which is permanently bonded using cutting-edge, two-shot LSR (liquid silicone rubber) moulding technology.
