Microsemi's wireless network portfolio on show at MWC 2014
At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014, Barcelona, Spain, February 24-27, Microsemi will showcase its product portfolio for wireless networks and small cells deployment. Additionally, the company will host meetings throughout the duration of the conference, and Sri Purisai, Senior Director, Communications, Microsemi, will participate in the Small Cell Forum.
In an increasingly connected and time-sensitive world, next generation networks (LTE, LTE-Advanced and 5G) will have stringent requirements addressing network synchronisation, power efficiency and security. Microsemi’s portfolio enables the deployment of highly reliable, power-efficient end-to-end communications systems. These products are targeted at hardware and software engineers, researchers, development executives, production representatives and others interested in the latest technologies related to the small cell and wireless industry.
Comprised of timing ICs and systems, precise timekeeping products, FPGAs and SoCs, power management solutions, Wi-Fi devices and voice products, the company's product portfolio enables: end-to-end network synchronisation using IEEE1588v2 as well as SyncE solutions; highly power-efficient design for small cells with high efficiency PoE ICs and midspan systems; and high security small cells thanks to layers of security features built into the flash-based low power FPGAs.
Held in Hall 7 Stand 7F61 on Wednesday, February 26, at 1 p.m, the Small Cell Forum will feature Microsemi's Sri Purisai outlining how Microsemi addresses HetNet deployment challenges and discussing how the company’s semiconductor products and system solutions are tailored to address the challenges in small cell deployments for operators worldwide.
Microsemi will host a meeting room for the duration of Mobile World Congress during show hours. In meeting room 5L14MR, visitors to the conference can meet with key executives from the company.
