Matter device security examined in free webinar
Mouser Electronics has teamed up with Infineon Technologies to provide the engineering community with a new webinar called "Seamless Integration: Simplifying Secured Matter Compatibility and Security in Matter Designs."
The free webinar will take place on 27 August 2024 at 17:00 CET.
Matter is an innovative, open-source, and royalty-free smart home connectivity standard designed to ensure secure and reliable connections between smart home devices and popular smart home ecosystems.
By providing a universal standard, it seeks to simplify the development and compatibility of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, enabling effortless interoperability across different brands and platforms. Ultimately, Matter aims to be the connectivity standard of the smart home, revolutionising the end-user experience by removing IoT complexity and increasing interoperability.
By attending this webinar, participants will discover more about:
- The different certificates and security that apply to the Matter protocol.
- Infineon's latest matter-specific solutions, such as the OPTIGA TrustM MTR. This discrete security solution, combined with a certified Matter provisioning service, is compatible with any MCU or SoC, allowing for secure Matter integration in a diverse range of IoT designs. The webinar will cover a wide range of use cases and the related provisioning services within Matter.
- How to build a Matter device using Infineon components, including:
- The PSoC 6 hgih-performance microcontroller is designed for IoT applications. The microcontroller features ultra-low power operation, integrated security functions, and a range of connectivity and peripherals, including capacitive sensing.
- Infineon communications modules featuring dual Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® connectivity on a single chip.
- Infineon's Matter over Thread modules, which enhance smart device performance by providing seamless interoperability and end-to-end encrypted communication between devices on a Matter network.
- Other products within Infineon's wide range of solutions for IoT devices, such as:
- The OPTIGA Trust M MTR Shield which is used to evaluate the OPTIGA Trust M security solutions and enables easy prototyping with microprocessors.
- The PSoC 62S2 Wi-Fi Bluetooth Pioneer kit, which accelerates the development of the PSoC 6 series of microcontrollers with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi communication. It offers a cost-effective hardware platform and includes advanced debugging and development tools, along with supporting hardware such as an ultra-compact WLAN and Bluetooth module and CAPSENSE™ capacitive touch buttons.
- The SLS32AIA010MH/S/K/L OPTIGA Trust M, which is a sophisticated security solution that establishes a trust anchor for seamless connectivity between IoT devices and the cloud, ensuring that each device has its unique identity.
The webinar will be hosted by Marcel Consée, Technical Marketing Specialist, Mouser Electronics and will feature Johannes Koblbauer, Senior Engineer, Application Engineering, Infineon Technologies as a guest speaker.
