In the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, World of Quantum will be the meeting place for the international quantum community, marking the third time from 24-27 June in Munich, Germany.

At one of the largest trade fairs for quantum technology, Laser World of Photonics, industry players and researchers will present and discuss key trends, innovations and visions for this future technology.

Registering over 17,000 trade visitors and almost 90 exhibitors, World of Quantum 2023 demonstrated how important such a platform is for the global quantum community.

“We are launching World of Quantum 2025 with a new logo and design while retaining the tried-and-tested three-pillar concept. This means that in addition to the exhibition area, there will once again be an extensive supporting program and the all-important networking area,” said Anke Odouli, Exhibition Director. “We are also delighted that we can rely again on the support of strong partners such as the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Munich Quantum Valley, and QUTAC."

The exhibition area will comprehensively explore both enabling technologies like laser systems, subsystems and components, and the application areas for quantum technology, such as quantum computing, communication, simulation and cryptography, quantum sensing and metrology, and quantum imaging. Companies and networks from the international quantum community will showcase their innovations there, including AQT, the BMBF, ID Quantique, Q.ANT and TUM Venture Labs. In addition, there will be several joint stands, organised by Bayern Innovativ, Berlin Partner, EPIC, Munich Quantum Valley, and QBN.

The focus of the extensive supporting program will be on sharing specialist knowledge, from basic research to practical application, and on networking. A forum will provide information in six application panels on the following quantum technology topics: quantum computing and quantum simulation, imaging and sensing, enabling technologies, education and career, quantum communication, and politics and governance.

On the Insights Stage, exhibitors will be presenting the current status of specific quantum projects. The Founders Fight Night, where startups pitch against each other in front of a panel of experts, will also be held there. Young talents have the chance to prove themselves at the Qiskit hackathon, a 24-hour competition in collaboration with the BMBF and IBM Quantum.
