HUBER+SUHNER brings connected mobility to Railtex 2017
HUBER+SUHNER will be exhibiting its portfolio of technology and solutions for the rail industry at Railtex 2017, taking place in Birmingham, UK, 9-11 May. The HUBER+SUHNER booth will focus on its solutions for Connected Mobility – merging both communications and rail through instrumental components, thus enabling broadband network connections on the train, train-to-ground and on the trackside.
As such, it will be showcasing a wide range of products allowing passengers, rail staff and operators to run their demanding applications seamlessly. “With rail systems becoming increasingly more sophisticated, passenger expectations for comfort and entertainment are constantly on the rise as well as data flow,” said Barry Larcombe, Sales Director - LF, HUBER+SUHNER UK.
“We recognise the need for seamless integration between communication and technology within the rail industry. Our Connected Mobility solutions for the digital train provide the perfect solution to keep up with this ever-increasing demand. Railtex is attended by the majority of UK rail-related businesses and we look forward to showing industry leaders our high-performance solutions.”
At the event, HUBER+SUHNER will be demonstrating its rail compliant Gigabit jumper cable option for on train backbones – linking active components by using fiber optic and broadband Ethernet cable technologies – as well as its extensive RADOX cable portfolio, revealing its compact and lightweight design with excellent resistance to aggressive fluids, heat and abrasion.
HUBER+SUHNER is well-known within the rail industry for its rolling stock products and connective solutions, but with an ever-growing number of world-wide success stories under its belt, it is also acclaimed for its trackside range of products, offering a complete product portfolio for the future modern railway.
Recent rail project successes include assemblies for the new Heathrow Express trains, which were equipped with HUBER+SUHNER RADOX fiber optic components, and Italy’s premium rail operator, Trenitalia, which introduced HUBER+SUHNER inter-vehicle jumper solutions for the fastest series production train in the world, the ETR 1000.
“Drawing on all of our innovative success stories, HUBER+SUHNER will demonstrate a comprehensive portfolio that companies in the rail industry can use to fully equip themselves for today’s and future applications,” added Mr Larcombe.
Exhibition visitors can see the HUBER+SUHNER solutions for Connected Mobility and railway applications at Stand B30, Railtex 2017, NEC Birmingham, 9-11 May 2017.
