High-end OEM cameras at Embedded Vision Summit
It has been announced that Vision Components will present its portfolio of OEM cameras at the Embedded Vision Summit in Santa Clara, California. The brand-new line of ultracompact MIPI camera boards is designed for applications with many cameras such as autonomous driving, UAVs, Smart City, medical technology, and laboratory automation.
The MIPI modules interface to more than 20 CPU boards, including all Raspberry Pi boards, all 96Boards, NVIDIA TX1 and TX2. They are high-end, high-tech components, designed and manufactured in Germany for easy integration and maintenance-free operation. Vision Components can supply MIPI cameras in large numbers at consumer prices. The showcase furthermore focuses on embedded vision systems.
Featuring a powerful Xilinx Zynq SoC with a two times 866MHz ARM processor and an FPGA, these intelligent cameras can be programmed for all kinds of image processing tasks. Vision Components offers board cameras and enclosed models, embedded stereo vision systems and laser profilers along with software libraries for various computer vision applications.
OEMs can choose from a wide range of image sensors for both the MIPI cameras and the embedded systems, including Sony Pregius CMOS sensors with up to 13MP. The new embedded laser profiler VCnano3D-Z with a Xilinx Zynq SoC, is also on show.
Featuring Vision Components' proprietary ambient light suppression technology, it operates precisely under up to 100,000 lux. The onboard FPGA calculates the 3D point cloud. The ARM processor can be programmed for further jobs like analysing the grayscale image.
