G-Line Ultra range to be revealed at Autosport 2017
Goodridge has added to its product range with the addition of an all new line of high end performance hoses intended for the motorsport market, the G-line Ultra.
The G-line Ultra range will be unveiled at Autosport International at the NEC from 12th-15th January, the official 'opening game' for the UK's motorsport and tuning communities.
The firm has a drive to improve the technology that underpins all its hoses, and has resulted in a number of significant developments, the most recent being an all-new wire construction.
In practice this means that all hoses within the all-new G-Line Ultra range will come with thelatest patented technology, a 316 stainless steel wire helically wound into the external PTFE convolutions to provide superior vacuum and kink resistance in extreme applications.
The addition of this specially formulated wire has had a dramatic impact on the properties of the hose and has increased the vacuum resistance from 130-200°C (compared to their existing G-Line XF hose) in order to address ever increasing vacuum demands required in today’s dry sump racing engines without the need for additional support.
All sizes of G-Line Ultra are usable at full vacuum up to 200˚C (above this, the vacuum resistance should be reduced two percent for every degree above 200˚C in order for the hoses' thermal efficiency to be maintained).
Keeping true to their traditional values, Goodridge offers G-Line Ultra with both a lightweight Aramid fibre braid, where weight saving is paramount, as well as a 316 stainless steel braid providing increased temperature resistance for extreme conditions for today’s high performance needs.
Goodridge has tried to ensure that the addition of the new helically wound wire doesn't compromise the G-Line Ultra's lightweight properties (an essential trait of any hardware destined to grace a race car), the most obvious example of this being the increase to the internal bore size.
This increase in diameter, coupled with the external reinforcement wire, has been achieved with minimal increase in weight, while at the same time providing increased, more efficient flow characteristics, the latter partly aided by the smoothbore anti-static liner found at the core of G-Line Ultra hoses.
The launch of the Goodridge G-Line Ultra range of advanced fluid transfer hoses is truly great news for anyone running or contemplating running a club race or rally car, and the patented technology at their heart promises to make a dramatic difference to the manner in which these cars perform. The Goodridge team are available to chat and share more about the G-Line Ultra range at Autosport International stand E260 from 12th-13th January 2017.
