Fujikura Europe is presenting its fusion splicing and connectivity solutions at FTTH Council Europe’s 2015 conference and exhibition in Warsaw.  CTTS training services will be running the product demonstrations and interactive hands-on workshops, titled ‘The Fundamentals of FTTH Networks Engineering - Training, Testing, Connectivity’, and featuring the world's smallest and lightest single fibre splicer, Fujikura’s 12S.

The splicer accommodates all 'splice-on-connectors' for FTTH applications and is fully compatible with the FuseConnect line of fusion installable connectors.

“The 12S is designed to be compact for maximum efficiency and portability, in addition to shock, dust, and moisture protection, while its two camera observation system provides accurate fibre alignment and loss estimation calculations,” said Neil Bessant, Fusion Splicer Divisional Manager of Fujikura Europe.

Fujikura’s 21S – the new, advanced FTTH splicer launched at the start of 2015 will also be on show, and offers the “Active V-groove Alignment” technology. CTTS provides cutting edge courses for 21st century engineers and technicians. The FTTx marketplace in Europe is rapidly expanding and with so many connectivity solutions available, CTTS aims to educate and provide hands-on training opportunities. Fujikura is its preferred partner for fusion splicers, while Exfo will provide test and measurement for equipment for the sessions.

“We are pleased to once again be using Fujikura’s splicers in our demonstrations and training activities at FTTH Council Europe’s pre conference workshops,” said Martyn Cook, Group Chairman at CTTS. “We aim to demonstrate quality training, testing and connectivity solutions and look forward to welcoming delegates from across the industry, including both new and experienced engineers and technicians.”
