Embedded World 2022: Real-Time Innovations in Hall 4, 443
Real-Time Innovations (RTI) will be exhibiting live on site at embedded world 2022. The company presents its connectivity solution for autonomous systems, which is proven across several markets including Industrial Automation, Robotics, Medical and Automotive. At booth 4-443, RTI will showcase Connext Drive, the connectivity software for next generation vehicles.
The connectivity software Connext DDS is based on the Data Distribution Serviceä (DDS) standard and accelerates the development, deployment and management of highly autonomous systems. The framework manages complex data distribution for real-time, scalable connectivity across platforms and systems. It delivers optimized data processing, easier system integration, enhanced performance, simplified data recording, security and platform support. For example, Connext DDS provides the ability to integrate OPC UA into DDS systems, and run DDS with the emerging IEEE TSN set of standards.
RTI Connext Drive: Functional Safety Certification
ASIL D certification provides OEMs with even more assurance of Connext Drive suitability for safety-critical applications, including autonomous driving and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Unlike legacy Electrical/Electronic (E/E) architectural approaches, Connext Drive employs an agile data-centric integration paradigm. It allows architects to decompose systems software into fine-grained and loosely-coupled “microservices.” Thus, developers can add and update services to introduce new capabilities without having to modify or re-certify any other software components. Connext Drive is compliant with the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard. It is integrated with the majority of automotive operating systems, technologies and platforms – including AUTOSAR and ROS 2 – providing architects and system engineers with maximum flexibility in developing their full stack solution. As of now, Connext Drive supports QNX OS for Safety to ISO 26262 ASIL D, the industry-leading safe RTOS.
