Embedded experts gather for summit meeting
With the publication of the Call for Papers, the organisers of the 2016 embedded world and electronic displays conferences have initiated the submission phase and given the green light for the 2016 event. Once again, the two conferences will explore the hot topics in embedded systems and displays and provide a high-calibre thematic accompaniment to the exhibition.
The proud claim of the embedded world Conference, ‘We are the Internet of Things’, will be back in 2016 and looks set to attract the world’s leading developers and engineers to Nuremberg. Again and again in recent years, the community of embedded system developers has shown how it helps to get new ideas off the ground through its technical expertise and ongoing knowledge-sharing. What we are witnessing now is how stand-alone solutions are converging to create a worldwide network of autonomously operating embedded systems: the IoT. This global network is happening right now, and because new technologies are always associated with risk, the protagonists need to act smartly, responsibly and with an eye to the future by sharing their expertise with one another.
For the 14th time, Europe’s most important gathering of embedded system developers will explore the latest developments, define trends and once again present the key areas of focus for future developments. This is where hardware, software and system development engineers come together to turn the next milestones of the IoT into reality.
As always, the conference will cover the entire spectrum of the technology associated with embedded systems. In this context, the programme for the embedded world Conference 2016 focuses on eight main thematic areas:
- Internet of Things
- Software Engineering
- Hardware Engineering
- System Engineering
- Management Focus
- Embedded OS
- Safety & Security Focus
- Connectivity
The Safety and Security segment is extremely important and continues to be highly topical, so it will once again be a key element of the conference in 2016.
Preparations are already under way with the Call for Papers & Workshops. Compelling proposals for papers on one of the eight topics listed for a target audience of technical developers, or for a contribution on Management Focus that supports decision-makers in handling important processes, can be submitted online by 9th September 2015.
The electronic displays Conference is currently regarded as one of the most important industry platforms for display technologies. Every year, it is where developers, researchers and decision-makers come together to exchange relevant information on international display markets and discuss the latest technical solutions.
“Display experts from all over the world use the electronic displays Conference to present their latest R&D outcomes to a wide audience of industry professionals. This is where experts engage with other experts in a professional dialogue - two days of knowledge-sharing at its best," explains Professor Karlheinz Blankenbach from the University of Pforzheim as Chair of the Congress Advisory Council.
As well as knowledge transfer, delegates have the opportunity to discuss the presentations with one another in the popular Author Interviews held after each session. The presentations in English are scheduled for 20 minutes each. Proposals for topics can be submitted up to 9th October 2015 via the conference website.
