electronica: Astute ready to raise European profile

Astute Electronics is beginning an advance into the European component distribution market, and its 300 square metre stand at electronica is a symbol of that ambition.

The Stevenage, UK-based distributor is basing its advance around some strong pillars. One is the acquisition of ISMOsys, the pan-European semiconductor representative company that brought in-house a strong technical and design presence.

Astute has recently signed a tranche of new semiconductor lines that will be featured at electronica. These include FPGA supplier Quicklogic and Alif Semiconductor and XMOS bringing microcontroller and AI processor products.

Astute has also lined up a series of presentations and demonstrations as follows:

TUESDAY

  • 9am: Product training – Alif Semiconductor and Innophase (Tech zone)
  • 10.30am: Technology launch – Smart Cities
  • 2.30pm: New product launch – SynQor MPFIC

WEDNESDAY

  • 9am: Product training – Oxley and XMOS (Tech zone)
  • 10.30am: Technology launch – IoT
  • 2.30pm: New product launch – Pulsiv 65/70W USBC

THURSDAY

  • 9am: Product training – Ivativ and Mercury (Tech zone)
  • 10.30am: Technology launch – Industrial automation
  • 2.30pm: New product launch – Amphenol Spin Tack

FRIDAY

  • 10.30am: Technology launch

Astute will also present its many other component supply services in Munich.

The company has a third party logistics unit that offers component kitting and smart logistics.

Through life support brings counterfeit device avoidance, obsolescence management and long-term storage.
