Eaton to display power portfolio at The Electric Event 2014
At the 2014 Electric Event, Eaton will showcase its range of electrical products including wiring accessories, consumer units, as well as lighting, fire and safety products. The annual ECA-sponsored event takes place at the ICC in Birmingham between the 28th and 30th of May 2014.
The event will provide visitors with the opportunity to attend three workshops presented by Eaton in the ‘Technology Live’ zone covering topics such as fire and security, lighting and recent changes in standards and regulations on distribution equipment.
The Technology Live Workshops will take place on the second day of the event, Thursday 29th May. Eaton’s first presentation will be delivered by Tony Jameson, sales manager for Eaton’s Cooper Fire Systems business at 11:30 and repeated at 13:45. Tony’s presentation, entitled Fire, Security and Emergency Lighting and Data and Controls will look at the mandatory requirements for public premises to ensure there is appropriate and effective detection and evacuation in the event of a fire or emergency situation.
Following on from this, at 11:45am, David Pitt, Eaton’s product marketing manager for power distribution components will look to explain the impact of recent changes in standards and regulations on distribution equipment. David’s talk, entitled Power Distribution, Controls and Automation, will explain when it is appropriate to provide surge protection equipment and how an individual or a company can go about implementing these changes to ensure the safety of their electrical appliances. David will also demonstrate the best ways to monitor and protect against earth faults.
Eaton’s final workshop will take place at 12:00 and be repeated at 12:45 by Andy Gallacher, product marketing manager at Eaton’s Cooper Lighting and Safety business. The workshop entitled Lighting and Lighting Controls, will look at how choosing the right range of lighting and lighting controls that offer full compliance with safety regulations and can provide customers with a product that is reliable but and affordable.
As well as presenting at the workshops Eaton will also feature on stand its MEMERA consumer units which come with a customisable range of additions, its xEffect series of digital circuit breakers to ensure residential and commercial buildings are protected against surges and faults and. Additionally, visitors to the stand will also be able to speak to Eaton experts and find out more about its wiring accessories and panel boards or any other specific needs and applications queries they may have.
