e-con Systems’ vision solutions at embedded world 2025

Visitors had the opportunity to explore e-con’s latest innovations, including the high-resolution 1MP Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera based on the AF0130 depth sensor at the onsemi booth (hall 4A-260), as well as AI-powered 360° vision solutions for ADAS and autonomous systems at the AAEON booth (hall 1-306).

Advanced 1MP 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera unveiled

At the onsemi booth, e-con Systems provided an exclusive preview of its innovative 1MP 3D ToF camera, which delivers real-time 3D depth imaging with high accuracy, high speed, and sub-millimetre precision. Featuring the AF0130 depth sensor, the new 1MP ToF camera offered superior resolution and frame rates, including 1.2MP at 30fps with a 0.2m to 2m range and VGA at 100fps with a 0.3m to 4m range.

• 1.2 MP onsemi AF0130 indirect Time-of-Flight (iToF) CMOS Sensor with advanced 3.5μm Pixel Stacked BSI Technology for high-accuracy depth data
• Exceptional depth precision with an accuracy of <1% across a 0.2m to 4m range for real-time 3D measurements
• 940nm illumination for reliable performance in both indoor and outdoor environments
• Flexible operation modes for maximum control across varying distances
• Dual laser operation extending depth range at VGA resolution for greater application flexibility
• Built-in laser eye safety monitoring to prevent harmful exposure
• Compatibility with major image processing platforms, including NVIDIA Jetson

Designed for challenging industrial environments, this camera was showcased for applications such as pick-and-place robotics, palletisation, industrial drones, industrial safety, driver monitoring, and occupant monitoring.

AI-powered 360° vision solutions for ADAS and automation

In collaboration with AAEON, e-con Systems presented its high-performance AI-powered 360° vision solutions tailored for ADAS, autonomous vehicles, and industrial automation. The NileCAM25—an advanced Full HD global shutter GMSL2 colour camera—was demonstrated in conjunction with AAEON’s AI@Edge Fanless Embedded AI System, BOXER-8645AI, powered by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin™. This integration delivered real-time, high-speed video processing over extended distances with superior image quality.

A 360-degree panoramic street-view demo showcased how AI-driven perception enhances applications such as:

• Pedestrian detection and real-time tracking
• License plate and object recognition
• Enhanced situational awareness
