Durakool, a manufacturer of power-switching components, has announced the launch of three products designed to meet the progressing needs of the automotive and industrial sectors.

At the forefront of this launch is the DG82M, a first-of-its-kind Micro-ISO automotive plug-in relay featuring magnetic arc blowout technology. This industry-standard relay is optimised for DC switching, capable of handling up to 3A@110VDC for 100,000 cycles and 7A@110VDC for 20,000 cycles. Despite the additional magnet, the DG82M still fits standard Micro-ISO sockets, making it well-suited for industrial vehicles transitioning to electric power and higher voltage systems.

Complementing the DG82M is the DE40, a high-performance miniature PCB power relay engineered for demanding applications in EV charging and photovoltaic (PV) systems. With its robust design and reinforced plastic housing, the DE40 offers a maximum switching current of 2x 40A at 277VAC. Its DPST-NO-DM configuration, with optional SPST-NC auxiliary contacts, provides enhanced reliability through contact redundancy and real-time operational status monitoring. The 3.2mm contact gap ensures superior dielectric strength, instrumental in managing high-current loads in industrial applications.

Completing the trio of launches is the DHVC300, a state-of-the-art automotive contactor designed for high-voltage DC applications. This powerful contactor features a 500A 1,000VDC rating with a maximum breaking current of 2,000A. Its oxygen-free copper contacts are sealed in inert gas, while flexible mounting options and a choice of power terminals enhance its versatility. The DHVC300's non-polarised contacts allow for bidirectional under-load switching, making it a suitable solution for advanced automotive electrical systems.

Carlos Mendes, Product Manager at Durakool, commented: “These new products represent a significant milestone in our commitment to innovation. The DG82M, DE40, and DHVC300 are not just incremental improvements – they are transformative solutions that address the complex challenges faced by our clients in the EV and industrial sectors. By combining advanced technologies like magnetic arc blowout and high-performance materials, we are enabling our customers to push the boundaries of what is possible in electric and hybrid vehicle design, as well as in critical industrial applications.”

Mendes added: “The continuing towards electrification coupled with the increasing demand for more robust power management solutions, means that Durakool is well placed to deliver innovative, reliable, and high-performance products that meet those evolving needs. These new products represent a significant leap forward in relay technology.”
