Digital healthcare application-ready packages at MEDICA 2018

This year’s Medica will be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, on November 12th to 15th, 2018. Visitors can expect live demonstrations within specific applications inside hospitals and clinics, including integrated operating rooms, mobile care, critical care, intelligent wards, and self-service systems.

The demonstrations featured will be shown on Advantech’s medical computing platforms in combination with the solutions of our Co-Creation Partners:

INTER shows its proven software interface for operating theatres, now embedded in Advantech’s AVAS solutions for video, archiving and streaming .

INTER will also demonstrate its operating theatre software embedded in Advantech’s AVAS platform for video, archiving and streaming. The user-friendly software for operating rooms includes integrated video distribution plus recording and enables video conference. In combination with Advantech’s AVAS-OR portfolio, the software of INTER provides a solution-ready package to assist system integrators to easily adopt and implement video management and video conference.

Self Service Systems

The consultation of healthcare professional at Antwerp University Hospital has been fundamentally different for the past three years. Blood pressure, pulse rate and weight. are no longer measured by a doctor or nurse but by the patient himself. This is possible thanks to the WellPoint Kiosk. 

In addition, the patient can provide the healthcare-team with other desired information by completing personal validated questionnaires for pre-screening and risk assessment. The results are immediately visible in the EMR and therefore do not have to be entered manually. The doctor can immediately discuss the results with the patient during the consultation. 

The WellPoint Kiosk is equipped with Advantech’s UTC-318, an 18” All-in-One Panel PC with a detachable frame design for panel mount applications. The touch screen allows the patients to do the vial sign checking in easy steps.

The new ClinicAll App: The next step in hospital digitalisation

Since the German e-Health Act has been launched, digitalisation gains more momentum. Future-proof answers are needed: how to improve patient comfort, treatment quality, and ease workload for the clinic staff? Based in Neuss, ClinicAll offers a comprehensive set of solutions, including the well-known and market-proven ClinicAll software that already has been installed in many hospitals world-wide. 

The new ClinicAll App now also enables iOS and Android devices to access the medical services. Thus, patient data, treatment plans, diagnostic findings, radiographs or centralised room monitoring can be managed centrally, and may be viewed or edited on every connected device within any clinic.

AMiS: The all-in-one mobile carestation

AMiS is the answer to the rapidly increasing demand for integrated, multifunctional, mobile IT workplaces that will increase the efficiency of the caregiver around the patient. All the necessary technology to work safely, hygienically and mobile is available in one system. The design, ergonomics and functional aspects are the key elements in the efficient workflow. 

With its modular design AMiS can be adjusted to the requirements and desires of new and changing healthcare processes. With the integrated computer all hard- and software upgrades are easy achievable. AMiS also provides mobile and wireless access to the EMR and Electronic Nursing Record and could be used to administer medication at the patient’s bedside.
