Demonstrations for a low-power, wearable future
Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced that it will exhibit at the Wearable Technologies Conference 2015, 2nd and 3rd February in Munich. The company will present ultra-small solutions for wearable applications including sensors and application processors, wireless charging, Bluetooth comms, fast data transfer using TransferJet, memory and LED devices.
Toshiba will host demonstrations of ApPLite processors that support secure comms and provide timely processing of text, sound, image and sensor data. These application processors, combined with recent advances in Big Data, make it easier to develop services that provide users with greater value and convenience. A notable demo will be the TZ1001 ApPLite processor combining data from its internal accelerometer with external gyroscope and magnetometer data and then sending it using its integrated BLE solution.
The company's latest Bluetooth 4.0 / 4.1 devices will also be demonstrated, including the recently announced Bluetooth - NFC-Tag combo IC that enables simple 'click and connect' pairing.
Wireless charging demonstrations will also feature prominently, with a number of Qi-compliant position-free wireless chipsets exhibited along with a number of module-on-module devices that combine functionalities in ultra-small systems.
