How can technology create a 21st century health service?

The Government has outlined how forging relationships between the healthcare system, academia, industry and the third sector is key to making innovation a core business of the NHS.

Paul Winter of TTP and the Cambridge Wireless Healthcare SIG Champion comments: “This is a timely and significant event and we are very privileged to have the opportunity to hear talks from six leading experts from each of these sectors. We will debate topics relating to the issues of electronic health records, implantable technologies and patient and clinician resistance. Against a background of NHS budget cuts and increasing demands placed on the system by a growing ageing population, we anticipate plenty of stimulating debate.”

Set in the wonderful historic surroundings of Queen’s College, Cambridge, ‘Management of Chronic Long-Term Conditions – Technology Innovation in Patient Pathways’ will be taking place on Thursday 26th September 2013 from 13:30.
