Acoustic and vibration course heads 2014 training calendar
Bruel & Kjaer UK 2014 training calendar, offering a range of acoustic and vibration classes, is now available. New for this year is the Acoustic & Vibration Introduction for Design & Test Engineers. This is a three-day course intended to give industrial engineers a thorough understanding of the basic concepts that are important for airborne and structure-borne noise and vibration in machinery.
The course helps attendees to understand of these basic principles, enabling them to distinguish the different aspects of noise and vibration generation, plus transmission - and then apply these principles in practice.
The Theory and Practice of Noise Measurement course is ideal for environmental practitioners and consultants unfamiliar with the basics of acoustic measurement. The two day session provides a basic understanding of acoustic and measurement principles, encompassing many applications such as noise abatement, product labelling and building acoustics.
Attendees will learn to carry out a host of noise measurements, correct set-up of measuring instruments and assessment of noise reports. For those involved with vibration measurement, the company offers a Vibration Testing for Engineers and Technicians course, which provides a practical introduction explaining how to interpret vibration test specifications and apply them to a vibration test system.
It’s designed for engineers new to the field of vibration testing, but it is also a useful refresher for more experienced users. Brüel & Kjær also has a full calendar of free, online training sessions called webinars, running throughout the year, presented by its technical experts.
