Returning this year with a new and exciting range of features and industry speakers will be Materials Testing. The event will be taking place from 8th to 10th September in Telford, UK. Taking centre stage at the exhibition will be the full-size Bloodhound SSC show car. The vehicle, which is currently under construction, is due to undergo low-speed trials later this year before being shipped to South Africa in preparation for an attempt to break the world land-speed record of 763m/h.

Visitors will have the chance to learn about the challenges involved in inspecting the vehicle, which will be powered by a rocket bolted to a Eurofighter Typhoon jet engine, and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 1,000m/h.

Entry is free of charge for visitors, who will benefit not only from a concentration of materials testing innovation, but also from a programme of seminars covering the practical aspects of NDT and related technologies.

The event is organised by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing and will run alongside its annual conference, NDT 2015, providing additional networking opportunities. The Bloodhound SSC talks will take place on 9th of September.
