Avnet Silica to feature AI demos at embedded world 2024

Avnet Silica will host a series of live demonstrations under the umbrella theme of “The engineers of evolution” at embedded world 2024 in Nuremberg (April 9 – 11).

The distributor and some of its world-class suppliers will highlight the newest innovations in the semiconductor sector, exemplifying the future of industrial applications and their integration with the cloud.

Visitors will be able to discover an extensive range of proven, in-service technology that is shaping the future, such as:

  • Industrial AMD x86 PC platform from Kontron with live generative AI video rendering shows the possibility of the new AI world on industrial edge devices.
  • Battery Management Solutions for industrial applications from STMicroelectronics, measuring up to five cells in series with no desynchronisation delay.
  • on semi’s SmartENC with precision imaging and dual inductive rotary position sensor that precisely tracks the position of a rotating shaft at high-speed.
  • Facial detection using integrated NXP Neural Processing Unit on new vision ML high performance, low power MCX N MCUs designed for secure intelligent edge applications, including Tiny ML, analog and digital mixed signal, audio and voice applications.
  • Microchip’s 10BASE-T1S Multi Sensor Actuator Network utilising the latest technology to expand Ethernet to the edge of Operational Technology and Information Technology networks.

In addition, Avnet Silica’s security specialists will be present at the stand throughout the event, offering visitors insight into the Cyber Resilience Act.
