ARCCORE joins Automotive Grade Linux and The Linux Foundation
ARCCORE has joined AGL (Automotive Grade Linux), a collaborative open source project developing a Linux-based, open platform for the connected car at The Linux Foundation. ARCCORE is now listed as a Bronze Member at AGL and as a Silver Member within The Linux Foundation.
ARCCORE acknowledges the gaining importance of Linux as an operating system for in-vehicle infotainment systems and dashboard clusters as well as for autonomous driving in general.
As a provider of advanced embedded software platforms and software development tools for ADAS/AD (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems/Automated Driving), ARCCORE supports OEMs and automotive suppliers who are using Linux in their automotive systems development.
“ARCCORE’s mission is to provide cutting-edge products and solution-oriented services to automotive companies which enable autonomous drive, connected vehicles and next-generation infotainment applications,” said Michael Svenstam, CEO of ARCCORE. “We have always been supportive of an open source approach in embedded systems development, and collaborating with Automotive Grade Linux and The Linux Foundation will enable us to better serve our customers working on those platforms.”
“Automotive Grade Linux is gaining significant traction across the automotive industry, largely in part due to the significant contributions of our members and community,” said Dan Cauchy, Executive Director of Automotive Grade Linux. “We look forward to working with ARCCORE to further collaborate and enhance the automotive ecosystem.”
