An in-depth two day course showing how to leverage the power and flexibility of Java in M2M and IoT applications is to be staged by Anglia M2m and Gemalto.  Taking place at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, just north of London on December 1 and 2, the course will enable all participants to write, build and run a Java program on M2M modules and make them familiar with the more advanced features.

Starting with a look at ‘Why Java’, the course covers object oriented programming, AT commands and URCs, GPRS connections, SMS, local interfaces and the flash file system.

Commenting, Andrew Pockson, Divisional Marketing Manager at Anglia said, “Java is one of the most well-known and ubiquitous software development standards in the world with billions of successful applications and implementations deployed globally, and a huge base of qualified developers. Cinterion Java Modules have been successfully implemented for nearly every M2M vertical market including in smart meters, fleet management systems, industrial automation solutions, mHealth and more. Our aim in this course is to enable more customers to make use of this popular technology in their M2M or IoT applications.”
