Environmental monitoring highlighted at Birmingham show
An extensive array of solutions for addressing the key challenges in creating environmental monitoring solutions will be shown by Anglia Components, Analog Devices and Honeywell Sensing & Control at the Sensors and Instrumentation exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham (Sept 30-Oct 1).
Paul Dawson, Divisional Marketing Manager at Anglia, said, “Instruments used in in environmental monitoring, such as gas detection systems, require low power, accurate, compact signal chains, as these systems are typically hand-held meters or remote sensor nodes and could be measuring multiple gas concentrations to parts per million. Additionally there is temperature compensation, calibration and drift to be considered. Conversely, spectrophotometers, or similar systems, that use photodiode sensors require a combination of the highest resolution and low noise components in the measurement channel. For these high precision systems, eliminating errors caused by ambient light or small leakage currents need to be considered. These are challenges that Anglia, ADI and Honeywell will collectively address at Sensor and Instrumentation.”
ADI will demonstrate some of its latest environmental monitoring and chemical analysis solutions and reference designs to help you meet these key design challenges - Smart systems with embedded processing capabilities and high precision, low noise signal chains.
It will also be exhibiting its low-cost Blackfin processor-based development platforms targeting demanding ultra-low-power, real-time applications for image sensing.
The BLIP ADSP-BF707 will be demonstrated at the event. It is a small-form-factor development platform that offers end equipment manufacturers multiple functional profiles covering intelligent motion sensing, people counting, vehicle detection, and face detection use cases.
