AMPER exhibition a success with five Zlatý winners announced

ABB won an award for its Manufacturing Operations Management software, which is the comprehensive software which organises production processes and integrates the world of manufacturing with the economy of the enterprise.

With features such as business intelligence, managing production commands, BOMs and TPVs the ABB Ability Manufacturing Operation Management (MOM) is able to control capacity production planning, material stock management by warehouse management, quality management or down-time management.

This fully integrated MOM software includes production control systems (DCS) or ERP systems, and with the implementation of MOM customers of ABB can achieve around 10-20% increase on average in OEE. Customers can also see a 9% reduction in value for unfinished production through efficient planning.

The MOM software has also enabled customers to optimise production processes to achieve a 42% reduction in production waste and automate routine operations to an average 47% administrative cost savings.

Also winning an Amper award was the Endress+Hauser Czech division, with its Thermometer iTHERM TrustSens TM371, which is an automatic thermometer calibration right in the process thanks to an integrated ceramic standard.

Its long-term stability is related to the Curie temperature, which is given by the composition of the material and is unchanged during its lifetime. However if the temperature the thermometer drops below the Curie temperature, the ceramic material will change its properties and send a signal to the transmitter.

From this you can compare the signal from the measuring Pt100 particle with the certified value of temperature. This means that each calibration is created with a record that is written directly to the thermometer head, and has the ability to print pre-set calibration protocols corresponding to FDA requirements. The thermometer can be fitted with QuickNeck for easy separation from the sump.

The company received the award this year at AMPER and the product holds international certificates including EHEDG, FDA, ASME BPE, 3-A and more.

EnergyCloud were also amongst the winners at Amper to receive a Zlatý award for its Electric Storage Station EnergyCloud HOME, which is a project based on the principle of generating electricity from roofs of photovoltaic power plants and storing this energy into batteries for a later use.

For example when the sun is out the battery can be charging with clean energy, and when the electricity is off or out then power can be consumed from batteries as a backup. EnergyCloud is clever as it allows self-sufficient operation.

However, it offers the interconnection of a large number of decentralised local producers and energy consumers with one control system, making it an exceptional power grid as a virtual power plant, with nothing else like this.

The key benefits described from EnergyCloud were its optimisation of power consumption, reduction of power consumption, reduction of total energy costs and the stabilisation of the distribution network.

The Czech division of Rittal were again one of the companies to take an award for its The Blue e + cooling unit of 1.6kW. Designed for cooling industrial electrical switchboards, the cooling unit is equipped with hybrid cooling technology which significantly increases energy efficiency.

Allowing to adapt cooling power to current needs through an active cooling circuit with frequency controlled components, it ensures high accuracy of temperature control in an electrical switchboard. The integrated heat pipe passively removes heat from the switchgear, and Rittal’s inverter technology allows connection the unit to any power grid without the use of any other accessory. Additionally with international certificates, the cooling unit is ready for the worldwide use.

Rittal emphasised on the easy control via touch screen with text labels in local language, fast data analysis via Ridiag via USB interface, for its worldwide use. It also includes non-contact information exchange and subsequent quick on-site analysis through the NFC interface.

Finally ZEZ SILKO, maybe last on the list of alphabetical winners but not least. The company took an award away for exhibiting its Wi-beee consumption analysis solutions.

The Wi-beee, a device that can monitor electrical network parameters at site and can collect data to essentially achieve efficient power management. With simple installation, the placement is secured by ‘snapping’ the circuit breaker protector with the patented DINZERO system.

Following its installation the device begins to measure electrical parameters and send data from these measurements through the wireless connection. ZEZ SILKO’s Wi-beee can be installed in a single- or three-phase installations with a maximum current rating of 63A, and can also be used with a smart phone, tablet or PC, through which it then manages the data in database or through a cloud account.

As well as these five winners of the Zlatý Amper award, there were also five winners of the Honourable Mention awards, which included B+R automatizace, for its ACOPOStrak, JABLOTRON ALARMS for its camera CLOUD and video verification IP cameras, ORBIT MERRET for its OMT 1010, Tele & Radio Research Institute for its current transducer with digital transmission of measurement data and finally VŠB - Technická univerzita Ostrava, Centrum ENET for its adaptive protection for off-grid systems.

The 26^th AMPER show proved to be an increasing success with 43,300 visitors over the four days who saw 590 exhibitors from across 29 countries.
