Altus to showcase recent technical market trends

Koh Young has announced the recent delivery of its 1000th Zenith full 3D in-line Inspection AOI System and Altus will be displaying the innovative tools at the NEW show. As 3D systems will almost completely replace 2D systems in the electronics industry, Koh Young has positioned itself as pioneers of this innovative technology and are firmly established as world leaders since pioneering this technology in 2011.

“Altus will demonstrate the benefits of the Zenith 3D AOI so visitors can see first-hand how the system has the ability to inspect and provide quantitative measurement of components to deliver the most accurate AOI inspection on the market. This includes the lowest fall calls and escapes at practical production rates to match the pulse rate of the fastest SMT lines,” describes Richard Booth, general manager at Altus.

“We will also be introducing the Kirsten Wave Soldering system for the first time at the exhibition. This innovative wave soldering system, offers the best in class performance to the often overlooked area of THT production.”

Unlike the majority of wave solder machines currently on the market, Kirsten has created a modern, efficient, fully modular system, with lower running costs (potentially saving over €30 on the first fill alone) that retains the highest levels of quality, accuracy and consistency.

Another first for the exhibition will be the latest Landrex AOI system, designed for THT inspection, top, bottom or top & bottom side inspection. Altus will also be exhibiting a YJ Link Board Handling module on their stand, which forms part of YJ Link’s wide portfolio of systems. With the industry’s calls to integrate automation to reduce end product labour costs, the high quality and innovative board, which handles all YJ Link products, provides a valuable solution for this market need.
