Altus to expand presence at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics

Following record sales and significant interest in 2023, Altus has expanded its stand to showcase eight key processes and the latest technological innovations.

A highlight of the exhibition is the Koh Young Zenith Alpha HS+ AOI, a 3D AOI solution utilising artificial intelligence and machine learning. The Zenith Alpha is renowned for its performance in 3D measurement technology, addressing ultra-fine pitch and solder joint interreflection challenges. Additionally, Altus will present the KSMART software, designed for data collection, analysis, and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) process optimisation.

Joe Booth, CEO of Altus Group, commented, "After the overwhelming interest last year, we've decided to return with a larger stand, allowing more customers to interact with the latest equipment shaping electronics production."

The expanded floor space will feature a range of advanced equipment, including technologies from Koh Young AOI, Essemtec SMT Assembly, and Asscon Vapour Phase. Altus is particularly excited to introduce PVA, their newest supplier. The sales team will be available to provide insights into the showcased processes, aiming to foster interactions with partners and prospects.

Also featured will be the Asscon VP510 top-loaded vapour phase system, notable for its compact design and optional integrable cooling system, making it versatile for various soldering processes.

Making its debut at the Altus stand is the PVA Dispensing Unit, suited for selective conformal coating, potting, and precision dispensing. This unit guarantees consistent, high-quality conformal coating for circuit board protection.

The Quins Inspection System will also be displayed, offering an intuitive optical inspection environment with high-resolution images and simple setup for efficient inspections.

Additionally, the YJ Link Board Handling system will be showcased, emphasising its role in controlling PCB flow in automatic assembly lines to ensure consistent and efficient operations.

The Essemtec Fox 2 Multifunctional Standalone Modules, known for their strong performance and suitability for high-mix, low-volume production, will be exhibited following a record sales quarter in the UK and Ireland in 2023.

Lastly, Promation Robotic Soldering solutions will be displayed, showcasing modular robots and automated lines for various applications, providing precise and efficient soldering processes.
