AI Governance Policy Advisor to speak at Engineering Trustworthy AI event
TechWorks-AI has announced, "Engineering Trustworthy AI: From Concept to Reality," held on Tuesday, 25 February 2025, from 09:30 to 16:30 GMT at the historic Bletchley Park.
The event will focus on the engineering of trustworthiness in AI systems and highlight the pioneering work of the Trustworthy AI Bill of Materials (TAIBOM) project, a landmark initiative aimed at fostering trustworthiness in AI systems.
Following on from the Prime Minister’s recent announcement about plans to expand the UK’s use of AI to drive economic growth and solidify its position as a global superpower, Max Greenwood, AI Governance Policy Advisor from the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, will be speaking at the event, for which we anticipate a great deal of interest.
As artificial intelligence and advanced machine learning technologies become increasingly integral to modern systems, ensuring their reliability, safety, and transparency has become a top priority. TechWorks-AI fosters collaboration among experts across various fields to drive the development of trustworthy AI and machine learning solutions such as TAIBOM.
The morning session will feature project-aligned speakers presenting on topics such as the Engineering of Trustworthy AI Systems and the Best Practices Guide for AI Systems. The afternoon agenda will focus on critical areas, including Adversarial Attacks on Enterprise AI, AI Processor Hardware Integrity, and AI Cybersecurity Research, with contributions from leading organisations such as Amazon, RED Semiconductor and the University of Oxford.
A highlight will be a remote session with Helen Oakley, Director of Secure Supply Chain and Secure Development at SAP, sharing insights on global initiatives in foundational methods to assure trustworthiness in AI systems, aligned with the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
Event delegates will have the option to visit the new UK government funded ‘The Age Of AI’ exhibit at Bletchley Park.
Gareth Richards, Network Manager at TechWorks-AI, commented, "Trustworthiness in AI is not just a technical challenge—it’s a societal imperative. The TAIBOM project is laying the groundwork for the confidence and transparency required to unlock AI’s full potential across industries. This event is a unique opportunity to engage with the latest innovations in this critical field."
