Advanced Energy will showcase power technologies
Advanced Energy Industries will showcase its latest ultra-efficient power shelves, power supplies, and power converter technologies for enterprise and hyperscale data centres at the Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit, held from 15-17 October 2024 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Centre.
To meet the rising power demands of high-density AI-accelerated servers, Advanced Energy will feature the ORv3 5.5kW HPR PSU and power shelf, which achieves peak efficiency close to 98%. This power supply unit (PSU) offers a higher power factor, making it easier for data centres to manage the dynamic loads typically associated with GPU applications, reducing strain on the AC power infrastructure.
At its stand, Advanced Energy will also unveil its new range of M-CRPS products, including the CSU 1600AT, CSU 1800AT, and CSU 2000AT. These compact units offer input voltage flexibility for global use, high efficiency, and improved power factor performance, helping to reduce operational costs and save space. Additionally, the stand will feature the 1800W M-CRPS with Titanium efficiency in a new 60mm form factor, and a preview of the 3600W Titanium-rated M-CRPS, engineered to meet the high-power demands of generative AI with maximum efficiency.
Board-mounted power solutions will also be on display, including the Artesyn NDQ900 non-isolated DC-DC converter. Selected as a finalist in the 2023 Power Product of the Year category at the Electronics Industry Awards, this converter boasts a peak efficiency of 96.7%.
“This year's OCP Global Summit theme, 'From Ideas to Impact', aligns with Advanced Energy’s journey. Over the past seven years, our involvement in the OCP Community has allowed us to advance the industry and introduce best-in-class platforms that have significantly benefited the broader market,” said Brian Korn, Vice President of Marketing for Data Center Solutions at Advanced Energy. “Our innovations in density, efficiency and rack-scale power conversion are designed to meet the evolving demands of AI, both for today and the future.”
Those looking to optimise their data centre, Cloud hosting, switching, and 5G systems are invited to explore Advanced Energy's award-winning products at the OCP Global Summit. The solutions are designed to minimise power loss, reduce costs, and conserve space with their compact form factor.
In addition to exhibiting, Advanced Energy will present a session titled 'Requirements and Considerations of Next Generation ORv3 PSU and Power Shelves' on Thursday, 17 October at 10:25am PST in Room 210DH on the concourse level of the San Jose Convention Centre.
