ADI to showcase portfolio at PCIM
Analog Devices will demonstrate a broad portfolio of innovative solutions at PCIM 2015 that help engineers design safe, productive and energy efficient motor and power control systems. ADI will be in Hall 6 at Booth #317.
“From leading isolation technology that safeguards reliable operation, and high performance mixed-signal processing for precise control, to connectivity that allows real-time communication, our goal is to deliver solutions that enable engineers to achieve the highest level of production and energy efficiency for their system designs,” said Anders Frederiksen, Segment Marketing Manager, Motor and Power Control Group, Analog Devices.
ADI demonstrations at PCIM will include:
- Industrial communications for motor control – Analog Devices will present two demonstrations delivering an accelerated and simplified plug and play solution for modular multiprotocol real-time Ethernet module development:
- Synchronised Linear Motion with ADSP-CM408 and Innovasic RapID
- Rotary Motion with ADSP-CM408 and Altera/Softing FPGA based Multiprotocol Real-Time Ethernet module.
- Dual-axis motor control applications – This demonstration showcases improved performance and reduced system cost for multi-axis motor control applications. Using just one ADSP-CM408 controller, the demonstration shows dual-axis field-oriented control (FOC) of two permanent motors.
- Isolated inverter for motor control – This demonstration highlights the deployment of high voltage isolation technology in an open loop inverter application. The demonstration includes innovative gate driver technology that delivers reliable, precision current and voltage feedback at high switching voltage levels.
- Enhanced out of box experience - Analog Devices will showcase a range of tested and verified signal chain solutions for motor control applications.
Highlights at the show also include a series of presentations by Analog Devices experts during the official conference and expert programmes:
May 20: Poster Session
- Autonomous Method of maximum Power Efficiency tracking for PFC- and DC/DC-Converter System – Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Strzalkowski, Senior Power Systems Applications Engineer
