The Paris Air Show, which takes place later this month, will see SKF Aerospace demonstrate its engineering capabilities for major fixed wing, helicopter, engine and gearbox programmes. The aerospace industry is requiring innovation and technological advancements to support products and services, and push the boundaries of performance.

With a prominent position on the airstrip in Chalet row A-132 and at the heart of the Rotonde in Hall 2a, booth B254, SKF will be displaying a wide range of its engine and gearbox, helicopter and fixed wing solutions. These will include SKF airframe bearings for landing gears, flight controls and structural applications, engine mainshaft and gearbox bearings, sealing, damping and isolator solutions.

In addition the show will see the launch of the SKF Black Design. Innovation from SKF will help enable the use in the aerospace industry of composite material for high loaded, out of plane structural applications.

Other on-stand innovations will include compact, angular position sensor bearings and next generation hybrid aero-engine bearings, including peek cages, ceramic rolling elements, steel technologies and new bearing lubrication. Also on display will be SKF’s latest spherical plain bearings, that allow for complex combinations of rotation and sliding contacts, and light weight maintenance-free bearings for flight control applications.
