Webinar series explores ASIC/SoC design services

With the first webinar scheduled for 20th and 22nd January, the series will focus on services ranging from RTL-to-GDSII or RTL-to-Fab. Live printed electronics demo set for Munich show
Thousands of electronic elements printed onto film or paper in a few hours will be one of the features at the LOPEC 2015 exhibition and conference in Munich (March 3-5, 2015). A Demo Line at the event will show how it's done. During the fair, a complete production line will produce examples of printed electronics "to go".

UK Device Developers' Conference to be held in May & June
The UK Device Developers' Conference will be held in Reading, Cambridge, Manchester and Uphall (Scotland) on 12th and 14th May and the 2nd and 4th June, respectively. As before, this event is to be run in four locations, over four days, to make it more accessible for busy senior developers and technical managers.
IoT opportunities & challenges to be discussed at trade show
At Embedded World 2015, which takes place from 24th to 26th February in Nuremberg, Germany, Wind River will deliver a keynote, present industry sessions, and exhibit. RFID transponder chip enables IoT applications
imec demonstrated an ultra-low power RFID transponder chip at the IEDM 2014, which took place from 15th to 17th December in San Francisco, California. The chip operates at 1V voltage and is manufactured on plastic film using TFT. The company's chip is, therefore, suitable for item level RFID tagging, body area networks and environmental monitoring, which require remote autonomy, and thinness, flexibility and robustness.
