Solder paste evaluation process presented at IPC APEX
A new process for evaluating solder pastes will be demonstrated by FCT Assembly in Booth #713 at IPC APEX, 24th to 26th February in California. Tony Lentz, Field Application Engineer, will present the paper written on the new evaluation process. 'Dispelling the Black Magic of Solder Paste' will be held during the Fluxes Technical Conference Session on 24th February from 1.30 to 3pm.

Software reduces reflow oven's power & gas consumption

Silicon Labs’ CEO to deliver IoT keynote at Embedded World
It has been announced that Silicon Labs’ CEO, Tyson Tuttle, will deliver the opening-day keynote at Embedded World 2015, which takes place from 24th to 26th February in Nuremburg, Germany. In his keynote address, titled ‘Engineering the IoT: An RF Expert’s View on Technology Trends and Challenges’, Tuttle will discuss technology trends and challenges in today’s IoT market.
Plasma processing workshops held
Plasma-Therm has recently presented advanced plasma processing workshops at Arizona State University (ASU) and the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Free Bluetooth Low Energy Workshops tour Europe
Future Electronics will stage a series of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technical workshops run jointly with Cypress Semiconductor in February, March and April at various European venues. At the workshops, design engineers will have the opportunity to implement a sensor system with BLE connectivity based on Cypress’s PSoC 4 BLE programmable system-on-chip.
